The occasion for his visit is the monastery's so-called lesser holy day of " St. Great Martyr George Zograph". In addition to May 6th, the monastery also observes the holy day on November 16. The head of the state's Zograph monastery itinerary includes a site visit to the monastery, meeting the monastic brotherhood and attending the festal church service. In addition to the Zograph monastery, the president will also visit another place sacred to the Bulgarians - the Hilendar monastery where he will meet the monastery's monks and examine the cell of Paisy of Hilendar.

The president's program also includes visiting the "Kulata" museum and "Protaton" and "St. Nikola" temples. The president will meet with the leadership of the Sacred community and its chairman Father Ioanniky, and also with the governor and deputy governor of the republic of the Holy Mountain .
