FOMA AWARDS GRANT FOR CATALOGUING PROJECT

FOMA recently awarded a grant of £3,000, spread over three years, towards an important
project to catalogue and translate the entire Ottoman archive of Simonopetra Monastery. The
project will also include the publication of an article on it, and the holding of two exhibitions
and a workshop.


Dr Vanessa de Obaldia, below, is affiliated to the European Research Council Starting Grant
project titled Mount Athos in Medieval Eastern Mediterranean Society, and has published
numerous articles on related topics.
