ORTHODOX COMMUNITY IN CARDIFF CELEBRATES 150TH ANNIVERSARY
On Sunday, 5 November 2023, the Community of St. Nicholas in Cardiff celebrated its 150th anniversary, with the presence of Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis. Bishop Iakovos, who previously served as the Priest of this church for 22 years, presided over Matins and celebrated the Divine Liturgy. The Bishop then bestowed the Office of Confessor on Archimandrite Nicholas Price, the current Priest-in-charge.
After the service, the community gathered for a celebratory meal, followed by speeches and a presentation that highlighted the history and contributions of the Greek Community in Cardiff.
Fr Nicholas is a long-standing member of FOMA, and has attended numerous events and pilgrimages.
