KING CHARLES TO CONTINUE AS FOMA’S ROYAL PATRON

The King’s Principal Private Secretary has informed us that “His Majesty would be delighted
to retain the Patronage of The Friends of Mount Athos”.

The royal household has been conducting a review of all the patronages held by the late
Queen, the former Prince of Wales, and the former Duchess of Cornwall, since the King’s
accession to the throne. As a result, the King has had to drop several charities, while taking
on others.

The King became the Royal Patron of the Friends when he was Prince of Wales in January
2012.

FoMA Chairman Graham Speake said, “We are deeply honoured by this news, and delighted
that we no longer have to refer to His Majesty as the former Prince of Wales. God save The
King!”
