Documentary about the Latin Benedictine monastery on Mount Athos

A fascinating new documentary film has been released about the Latin Benedictine monastery on Mount Athos, which served as a bridge of spiritual unity between the monasticism of the Eastern and Western Churches even after the schism of 1054 for 200 years.  

The film was produced in cooperation with the French television channel KTO Television.  The project is timed to coincide with the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council in Nicea, symbolising the unity of the Christians of East and West.

The film is in French, but our friends at The International Institute of the Athonite Legacy have now made a translation with subtitles in English, Ukrainian, Italian, Russian.
